SUMMARY:8th Central European Biomass Conference CEBC 2026
DESCRIPTION:Bioenergy – Closing the gap / Keeping on track\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Austrian Biomass Association\, the Styrian Chamber of Agriculture\, BEST – Bioenergy and Sustainable Technologies GmbH\, BOKU University and Montanuniversity Leoben are hosting the 8th Central European Biomass Conference CEBC2026 in cooperation with Messe Congress Graz from 21st to 23rd of January\, 2026. The world is facing a radical change. Since the last conference three years ago the consequences of climate change are being felt all  worldwide and require immediate action. \n\n\n\nThe time to act is now! \n\n\n\nWe are in a very challenging situation\, but we will have to deal with it. With bioenergy\, we have created an innovative instrument for the future over the past few decades. Together with the other renewable energies wind\, water\, sun and corresponding energy saving measures\, bioenergy contributes to getting out of the fossil energy dependency. The prerequisite for the regrowing biomass is the sustainable management of our forests\, fields and meadows. With active forest management\, Austria is one of the pioneers here. We take less wood from the forest than grows back. Apart from that\, the most (climate) efficient use of resources must always be the basis of our actions. \n\n\n\nLeading event of the bioenergy sector\n\nThe Central European Biomass Conference has been awarded with the Congress Award Graz several times and has maintained its internationally approved reputation consistently. Connecting more than 1\,400 participants from over 50 nations\, the triennially held conference belongs to the largest bioenergy industry events worldwide. Regional and international industry partners present their innovative and efficient solutions. The conference brings together science\, politics\, industry and society and invites people to exchange ideas. The simultaneously held “Häuslbauer-trade fair”\, placing its emphasis on the provision of energy in the building sector\, reaching out to approximately 40\,000 visitors\, offers an excellent addition to the conference. The 8th Central European Biomass Conference includes an extensive programme of excursions. Presentations by various companies link theory with practice. Furthermore\, the CEBC convinces with purposeful networking opportunities suitable for various market participants. \nBecome a part of the 8th Central European Biomass Conference!\n\nTake the chance\, become a part of our conference and let us offer you a platform for the presentation of your research results. We ask you to share your knowledge and your projects in the form of a research paper to our international scientific committee. \nVisitors of the CEBC2026 also have the opportunity to visit the simultaneously held “Häuslbauer-trade fair”. \nWe are looking forward to welcoming you at the 8th Central European Biomass Conference (CEBC2026)!
