SUMMARY:8th European Conference Future of Biofuels
DESCRIPTION:After last 2025 successful edition\, it is a great pleasure to invite you to 8th European Conference Future of Biofuels taking place on 28-29 October 2026 in Gothenburg\, Sweden. \nThe evolving landscape of EU regulations\, market dynamics\, and technological advancements presents both challenges and opportunities for stakeholders in the biofuel industry. In response to these regulatory changes\, the European biodiesel market is expected to navigate increasing volatility in vegetable oil prices while adapting to the rising demand for renewable fuel sources. \nThese regulatory adjustments are pivotal in addressing concerns over the carbon footprint of current biofuels and advancing the adoption of low-carbon alternatives\, which will be essential for the EU to meet its Net Zero targets. As we look ahead\, the biofuel industry stands at a crossroads\, balancing the need for greater sustainability with the demands of economic competitiveness and energy security. The next few years will be critical in determining how biofuels evolve within Europe’s broader green energy strategy. \nSite Visit – 27th October \nThe day before the main event\, on 27th October 2026\, a limited number of conferenceparticipants will have a unique opportunity to visit Gothenburg Refinery which is managed by ST1. \nRegister your interest in the site visit when booking your ticket. Participation is free of charge\, and spaces are allocated on a first-come\, first-served basis.\nTo sign up\, please add “I would like to join the site visit” in the “More Information” section during registration. \nDuring the visit\, participants will hear from ST1 representatives and gain insights into the company’s approach to advancing the energy transition through liquid biofuels. The Gothenburg refinery plays a key role in ST1’s efforts to reduce emissions in the transport sector by developing and scaling sustainable fuel solutions.
